  Thanks. The best advice I ever read on achieving tonality was given to John Singer Sargent by his teacher Carolus Duran, “start with the mid tones, than proceed, step by step, into the darks and lights, until a full range of values is achieved. Good advice. Thanks for looking and commenting.
