Absolutey gorgeous. Divine! Was wondering what color ground you would use in such a painting? Also–does the texture come from a thick application of gesso, or from one of the many layers you use afterwards?
Thank you, Max! Lately I’ve been using an oil ground instead of gesso (less absorbent) –a light gray color All of the texture results from over painting. ,and glazing to emphasize the texture. I really appreciate your interest in my work!
