Der Maurice,
this Color Combination is very beautiful! It reminds me of one my pictures, in which I used the similar colors. However, with acrylic paint. Do you work with pigments and old techniques?
In painting this one, I used oil paint, sometimes pouring, and also traditional brush methods, with undiluted oil pigment, right from the tube. I reworked it over a period of a week. I once tried acrylic paints, and found I could not get the effects I wanted, so I returned to oils.
I am fascinated by the techniques of the old masters and their ability to produce the colors themselves! I also believe that acrylic paints will not go byond centuries. Your Works are a master class!👌
Margaret, there is no way you could ever be an annoyance. In fact, you have been very patient with my frantic painting production. It’s a mad dash against the clock, I have so many paintings stored in my brain, and am reaching the age when I won’t be able to get them done. You know that saying, “85 is the new 65—time to retire”.
