I love this! the stunning tonal value range, the subdued elegance and wintery feeling create a lovely art work. in class I always tell the absolute beginners to ‘generally’ avoid painting things in the centre, as its a bit hard for them, to then compensate – and deflect, wind the eye around, like a Master Painter would be able to do. YOU have created such a wonderful masterpiece here, with your subtle balances and checks! DEE-lightful 🙂
meaning, your paintings are so perfect now, there is nothing left to do better. and there’s surely nothing i could say – you’d be the one teaching me!!
Superb Maurice! Hope you aren’t too snowed in ~

Thanks Debi, I think if I had been in a class you taught, my painting would be better.
