I really like your little bits of color did you use a heavy load of paint on the stiff end of a brush or a palette knife? Love this painting by the way, I just hop right in, don’t I?
For this recent series of paintings, I switched back to painting on panels. The smooth surface is ideal for showing texture. Every three months, or so, I like to change the surface and size to keep the creative spirit alive.
The running brook is the result of everything, removing pigment, palette knife, brush, splatter, and drip. When you hop in, leave some room for me.
Thank you for giving me more of a peek into your painting process. I like your idea of switching things up to keep the creative spirit alive. I believe that keeping on the edge of the “creative seat” is conducive to keeping the juices flowing. 😉
I love brooks.. and I am reminded here of one I would jump as a child to play in the meadow.. And there is nothing nicer than seeing it babbling away.. Your painting i can hear and feel its flow.. 🙂
Sue, Always a joy to hear from you. To make up for some of the things I missed in childhood, as an adult, I would jump in the brook. So pleased it brought back memories for you.
Dear Maurice,
it’s fantastic! This Work is again breathtaking!❤
Many Greetings Babsi
