When I first saw this I thought of peace and then “new beginnings” I absolutely love this painting. I could go on and on but I’ll tack on a “Wow” to get across what I think 😉
Thanks Margaret. After spending an entire day at The Yale Gallery, looking at 19th century American landscapes, I had to paint this. Thanks for the “Wow” !
you have a wonderful gift of being able to take someone out of their reality, and Into yours. the painting, is magnificent. every tone and brushstroke. every nuance. its like a warm greeting, a hug if you will. and that is a lovely thing! how we each interpret the world, our slice of life is seen in the windows of our art. I LOVE your windows Maurice. cheers, Debi
Debi, I hope you are on the mend, feeling better. I cherish your comments, always thoughtful, and you always see what I’m trying to accomplish.
You have a wonderful talent for painting, and for making an old man smile.
smiling……. amen to that! we definitely need more of that! 🙂
and yes, the hip is doing better, its just the brain that needs to remember NOT to overdo. Which is something, I don’t seem to learn – LOL
