Dearest Maurice,I love this. We both have the sea on our minds. It’s new for you to paint with so much white. I love the heavy clouds and fog and the lighthouse, love the blue on the white water and the sparkles in the sky and where the sea meets the land. Brilliant!Thank you for sending this to me. It really encourages me and brightens my day. It’s just been so busy, almost not worth going in to. Yesterday I wanted more time in the studio but my work annual review/competency (crap/busywork) was due, so I spent most of my time between 6 and 11 pm finishing it, then drove the damn thing to the hospital and dropped it off to meet the deadline. This morning I had a meeting in Atlanta at 0730 and then Redmond had horse back riding at the ranch at 1100. That was a nice break, great to get out to the ranch, see the horses, get some fresh air and sunshine, and see Redmond ride (he’s doing great!). I sent you a photo from the ranch earlier. So, I just made lunch and finally, finally, my time is mine for a while. That’s what I’ve been up to. Now for my studio time! So, you see, receiving “High Tide” was just what I needed. I am preparing to paint the silhouetted figure into my seascape and it will be done. I want to post that one soon. I can’t wait to finish it and show it to you!Besides creating a brilliant painting, how’s things on your end, my dear?Love,Arris
