Dear Mr. Sapiro, Thank you so much for sending me the Part 1 of the demonstration. I am anxious to see everything that you are willing to share. The subtraction of paint to create the texture is very interesting. I was under the impression from what I can tell from the online pictures, that many of your paintings have a dimensional aspect; if you ever decide to share that technique, I would be very interested in learning about that too. Thank you again for sharing. Betsy
Thanks Betsy. Yes, in the final process, I use a palette knife, or a wild brush, and apply thick, pure pigment, in contrast to the smooth, finished areas. It emphasizes the points of interest.
This is priceless! As a fan, I am looking forward to see more. The first commentator wrote & expressed her wishes so beautifully I can only agree with every word she said 🙂
Dear Mr. Sapiro, Thank you so much for sharing your techniques with us. I receive one of your images every day and I find them so inspiring. I am fascinated by the way you achieve such a balance of light, texture and color. I have been using some of your techniques and when I get one right I am a happy camper! You make it all look so easy. I look forward to receiving the gift of your paintings in my email folder everyday.
Michele, thank you for your kind words. You just put a smile on an old man’s face. From one “happy camper” to another, I want you to know that your appreciation is appreciated !!!
