Beautiful painting. The second I saw this, I assumed it must have been done with oils since the blending is so seamless. I did a painting with acrylic last night and was having so much trouble blending it the way I’d like since it kept drying so fast. Your painting reminds me why I love oil paint.
Absolutely, oils are great for that. I wish I had more space in my apartment so I could go back to using them. I’m usually working on a dozen paintings simultaneously so there just isn’t enough space to lay them out while they’re drying. One day…

Thanks, I can only work in oils, reworking and glazing, and more overpainting—I can’t get these results with any other medium.
